Skyla Tylaa - Bombshell (Cheza) ft. Diamond Platnumz, Tyler ICU, Khalil Harrison & DJ Exit

An all-star cast comes together for Bombshell — a powerhouse collaboration featuring Skyla Tylaa, Diamond Platnumz, Tyler ICU, Khalil Harrison, and DJ Exit. This infectious track unites the sounds of Tanzania, South Africa, and the UK under one roof and has already made waves, with unreleased teasers amassing over 90+ million views. Bombshell marks a significant milestone for Skyla Tylaa: her first official release with producer and vocal credits, following her rise as a sought-after DJ. The track came together organically, with the first seeds planted in 2024. Directed by the visionary duo Brian Salcedo and William Miller and shot on location in South Africa just weeks ago, this video hits like a jolt to the system. The fearless lineup of artists crashes onto the scene, channelling dancefloor chaos and electricity. Dripping in style and attitude, the video oozes freedom, rebellion, and raw self-expression. The white flags are up, which signifies it is a Skyla takeover. Now, she's surrounded by Amapiano/Afropop royalty, who’ve taken her under their wing to craft a summer anthem set to take over.

24-year-old DJ Skyla Tylaa is quickly making a name for herself with high-energy sets that blend Amapiano with wider Afro-Electronic influences. Raised between Kennington and Vauxhall in South East London, with Jamaican and English heritage, Skyla grew up in a house full of music - Funky House, UK Garage, Old-School R&B, and Reggae were the Sunday soundtrack. One of seven siblings, she was particularly influenced by her sister Jada, a renowned music manager to artists such as Akon and Wizkid. Growing up, she tried her hand at everything – she played trumpet, the violin, flute, and guitar, but nothing stuck. With a growing interest in vocals and performance, she attended the prestigious BRIT School and Sylvia Young Theatre School, where she performed in a West End production of Annie as a young child. However, a bout of stage fright led to her decision to never return. But still, music persisted. Her DJ career began at 21, and a turning point came during a trip to Ghana, where she discovered Amapiano at Wizkid’s recording studio. Since then, she has fully immersed herself in the genre, learning the craft from DJ Tunez, and receiving guidance from Maphorisa, Uncle Vinny, and Major League DJz. Her big break came in 2023, opening for Wizkid’s Made in Lagos tour—a true “trial by fire” moment that marked her arrival in the scene.

Skyla has quickly established herself as an international DJ and performer, lighting up stages across the UK, US, Europe, Africa, and Australia. She’s played some of the world’s top festivals - including Afronation, Wireless, Piano People and Promiseland (Australia) - and sold-out headline shows in London, Nigeria, and Ghana. Skyla’s meteoric rise has captured industry-wide attention, earning her a spot on Mixmag’s 'Breakthrough DJs of the Year' list for 2024. Her talent has also caught the eye of global icons like Rihanna, who personally selected her to open in Los Angeles and DJ the London launch of the Fenty x Puma event. Despite the acclaim, Skyla remains grounded in the same passion that fueled her early days, prioritising artistry and connection, where the crowd doesn’t just watch her perform, but feels the music with the same intensity she does.
