Rising pop talent SALYA releases a Visualizer video for new track "TALK"

SALYA - TALK (Visualizer)

Raised in France and now based in the UK, rising indie-alternative pop singer-songwriter SALYA releases her latest single ‘TALK’, a candid exploration of the tension between introversion and the pressure to perform. Playful yet emotive, the track captures a personal struggle with warmth and restraint, reflecting her sensitivity and artistic core.

Co-produced with London-based collaborator Jules Apollinaire (Suki Waterhouse, Declan McKenna, Miles Kane). “TALK” blends dreamy indie pop with a vintage alternative edge; surf-inspired 60s guitars, warm minimal percussion, the production feels intentionally fragile, almost weightless, building layer by layer until the song reaches its breaking point - a lullaby for the emotionally exhausted.

“Pretending to be an extrovert when you’re not is exhausting. I have to get away to refill. That’s really all the song’s about. I said I was done talking that night, then I wrote a 4-minute song about it. Go figure.”

“TALK” leans into Salya’s signature timbre and unapologetic attitude: raw, delicate, detached, and confident in her refusal to perform. The song is built on progression, moving from a soft ballad about wanting to retreat from the world into a cathartic alt-rock outburst, the dramatic shift mirroring the emotional journey from exhaustion to empowerment.

Capturing the mix of numbness, irritation, and blunt honesty that comes with social fatigue, as well as the shutdown and quiet rebellion of your late twenties when everything feels overwhelming and you’re done pretending to be cheerful or available.

With the release of “TALK”, Salya underlines herself as a significant new one to watch. With further tracks promised over the year, get ready to hear a lot more from an artist conjuring the spirit of Mazzy Star and Karen O to a new generation.
