Today - 22nd May - London singer-rapper Reuben Aziz releases 'ego death' featuring rising Irish rappers Travy and SKIIFUEGO, the final single taken from his forthcoming mixtape 'mind the gap', due 29th May. The release follows a run of singles including 'promised land', 'circles' and the highly acclaimed 'shotgun', alongside a duo of fan-facing TFL-themed activations where he gave audiences an early preview of music from his forthcoming mixtape ‘mind the gap’ due 29th May. Having carefully curated his own signature sound, 'ego death' carries the ethereal feeling Reuben has made his own, blending alternative R&B with hip-hop references woven throughout the production. The release follows co-signs from BBC 1Xtra's DJ Target and CassKidd, both of whom have championed his presence at the intersection of alternative R&B and Rap.
Reuben Aziz is an artist balancing Hip-Hop and R&B in equal measure, forging a pioneering alternative fusion.
