London alternative R&B artist Lucy Park unleashes her second single of the year in “DIZZY” - a hypnotic, vivid new offering that will continue the growing attention around her as one of the brightest new voices in the UK landscape right now.
Following a standout collaboration with alt collective H.LLS on “GUERILLAZ” - affirming her position in London’s cultural spotlight ahead of her acclaimed release “BLUE SASHIKO” last month, “DIZZY” continues to underline exactly why she’s building a significant and rapidly growing following in new-gen R&B circles.
Emerging with distorted guitar, Lucy’s utterances quickly take centre stage - “You had to have your way // I tell you ceilings can fold // Need to take hold… Feel it wearing off
// I’m slipping away” - as she attempts to understand the disorientation of a new city and a new relationship. Compelling from the outset, her breathy tones mask the steel of her convictions as she warns, “I’m right here but blink and you’ll miss me.” Soft and potent, her subject matter is matched by the visuals, shot entirely in a pool of water’s reflection, adding to the warped sense of distance and uncertainty that Lucy tries to calm and clarify.
Speaking on the track, Lucy states: “’DIZZY’ is a song about being lost in a distorted reality of a city. I started it with my friend Joe in New York when I had the chaos of the city and confusion in my personal life on my mind. But I was only able to finish the lyrics a year or so later after some clarity arose. It’s ultimately about being lost, physically and romantically.”
Racing to over 42M streams and counting following her debut EP Before I Speak, critical attention has come swiftly across both sides of the Atlantic, with the likes of DAZED, THE FADER, COLORSXSTUDIOS, and WONDERLAND proclaiming a cerebral, multi-layered new talent fast on the rise. Her recent addition as one of THE NORTH FACE’s ‘Ones To Watch’ places her in the same ranks that have held the likes of Sampha, Lil Silva and Ama - an organic collaboration underlined by Lucy’s early upbringing moving across Japan and Hawaii before settling in London.
With a standout performance at Brick Lane Jazz Festival this year and her official support slot to Katie Tupper on her recent UK and EU tour, Lucy’s new offering continues to showcase the emerging breadth and layers to her artistry. With the kind of innovative sonic influences and notable artistic collabs she’s collecting at pace, the young star-in-waiting underlines herself as one of the most interesting and thoughtful UK ones to watch for 2026.
