London-born, Birmingham-raised rapper Kofi Stone returns with his most expansive and emotionally revealing project to date, ‘The Last Flower To Bloom’, bringing together a standout cast of UK and US collaborators across 16 tracks. Built around Kofi’s trademark introspective lyricism, the project sees him explore relationships, vulnerability, growth and the world around him, while leaning further into melody and singing than ever before. What began as a smaller companion piece to his 2025 project ‘All The Flowers Have Bloomed’ gradually evolved into a fully realised standalone project as Kofi continued to write and discover new creative directions. At the centre of the project is focus single ‘Sicily’, a tender collaboration with Mahalia, produced by longtime collaborator Joe Corfield. Elsewhere, Kofi brings together an impressive cast of collaborators, including New York rapper Wiki on ‘Dozen Roses’, creating a meeting point between UK and US hip-hop; Manchester duo Children of Zeus on ‘Mary’s Gold’; and singer Jaz Karis on ‘Ghost Flower’. The project also sees Kofi reconnect with frequent collaborators Ady Suleiman on ‘Baby Love’ and Maverick Sabre on ‘Arlissa’ — the latter marking one of the project’s most emotionally challenging moments as Kofi explores the subject of sexual assault. The track reflects his desire to use rap as a vehicle for conversations that extend beyond traditional genre narratives, tackling difficult subjects while attempting to create music that can have a wider social impact. Speaking on the project Kofi said:

“’The Last Flower to Bloom’ was written with the feelings of acceptance for where I am in my journey. It’s me realising I am exactly where I need to be. Everything happens at the right time. It talks on my experience with love and faith, some positive and some negative.  It’s a story of searching, resilience, & perseverance. Although I may not be where I want to be there is still hope and with hard work great things can be acquired.”

Behind the project is a similarly strong production cast. Kofi has worked with acclaimed producers including zach woods, The Purist — known for his work with Loyle Carner and MF DOOM — and Joice, whose credits include Jorja Smith. Longtime collaborators Joe Corfield and Pitch92, known for their work with artists including Skinnyman, Fliptrix, Lord Apex and Ocean Wisdom, have also overseen multiple tracks across the project, helping shape the cohesive sound that runs throughout. Kofi has steadily built anticipation for ‘The Last Flower To Bloom’ through a run of releases and collaborations, including ‘Flowers Flow (Remix)’ with grime legend D Double E, alongside solo tracks ‘Gardener Flow’, ‘No Way!’ and the recently released title track ‘The Last Flower To Bloom’.

At the heart of Kofi’s music has always been storytelling. His love of writing was shaped by his grandfather, an accomplished poet, while growing up between East London and Birmingham exposed him to a broad range of musical and cultural influences. The rise of grime formed part of the backdrop to his childhood, while travelling with his father introduced him to blues, soul and hip-hop. These influences would eventually form the foundations of Kofi’s distinctive approach to contemporary UK rap. Before entering a professional studio, Kofi spent three years developing his writing and honing his craft. His earliest recordings were made using a basic Windows 98 programme and a telemarketing headset — humble beginnings that have since evolved into a career defined by patience, precision and purpose. That journey has seen Kofi establish a devoted audience through a run of acclaimed releases and an increasingly ambitious live career. He has sold out a 20-date UK and European tour and performed at Glastonbury, The Jazz Cafe Festival, Love Supreme and We Out Here, where he recently delivered one of his first festival headline performances. His growing reputation as a live artist has also taken him to O2 Kentish Town Forum, while collaborations with Loyle Carner, Tom Misch, Kojey Radical, Rubii, Benjamin Zephaniah and Tiana Major9 have demonstrated the breadth of his musical world. He has also shared stages with artists including Tinie Tempah and the late Mac Miller.

His most recent project, 2025’s ‘All The Flowers Have Bloomed’, featured Jacob Banks, Maverick Sabre, Ady Suleiman and Tyler Daley of Children of Zeus, completing a trilogy that began with ‘Nobody Cares Till Everybody Does’ and continued with ‘A Man After God’s Own Heart’. Since then, Kofi has continued to expand the world around his music, collaborating with Kojey Radical and KeepVibesNear on ‘Love N Drugs’, whilst releasing various solo cuts. With more than 150 million streams across his catalogue, including over eight million streams for ‘All The Flowers Have Bloomed’, Kofi has established himself as one of the UK’s most distinctive voices in hip-hop. His music has received support from tastemakers and broadcasters including Gilles Peterson, Huw Stephens, DJ Target, Semtex, Jamz Supernova, Craig Charles, Kaylee Golding, Remi Burgz, Nadia Jae and Sian Eleri, reflecting an ability to move between hip-hop, jazz and soul without compromising his identity. Away from music, Kofi’s creative world continues to extend into fashion and culture. Earlier this month, he made his first appearances at London Fashion Week, attending the Labrum and Charlie Constantinou shows in looks from the designers. His engagement with fashion reflects the same intentional approach that runs through his music, a desire to explore different creative spaces while remaining authentically himself. Now, with ‘The Last Flower To Bloom’, Kofi enters a new chapter. Across 16 tracks, he builds on the world established through his previous work while pushing his sound, songwriting and storytelling further. The project captures an artist moving confidently towards what comes next. With forthcoming performances in the Netherlands, followed by Australian and New Zealand tour dates in November, Kofi Stone’s journey is underway.
