London-born, Birmingham-raised rapper Kofi Stone announces his forthcoming 16-track project, ‘The Last Flower To Bloom’, set for release on 2nd October. Marking his fourth project to date, Kofi also shares the official music video for the project’s title track of the same name. Produced by zach woods, ‘The Last Flower To Bloom’ brings together live choir vocals, classic hip-hop samples and live instrumentation, creating a rich backdrop for some of Kofi’s most reflective writing to date. Delivered like a diary entry, the track finds him looking back on the experiences that have shaped him, taking stock of how far he has come while remaining focused on what lies ahead. The track is a showcase of Kofi’s versatility as both a rapper and artist, pairing effortless flows with the introspective lyricism and emotional honesty that have become synonymous with his music. Beneath the assured delivery is a clear sense of vulnerability, as Kofi reflects on his own journey, comments on the world around him and counts his blessings, while continuing to pray for more. Speaking on the music video, Kofi states:

Storytelling has always been at the heart of Kofi’s music. His love of writing was shaped by his grandfather, an accomplished poet, while growing up between East London and Birmingham exposed him to a rich mix of influences. The rise of grime formed part of the backdrop to his childhood, while time spent travelling with his father introduced him to blues, soul and hip-hop. Together, these sounds would help lay the foundations for Kofi’s distinctive approach to contemporary UK rap. Before entering a professional studio, Kofi spent three years developing his writing and honing his craft. His earliest recordings were made using a basic Windows 98 programme and a telemarketing headset, but the DIY beginnings of his career have given way to a body of work defined by patience, precision and purpose. That approach has seen Kofi build a devoted audience through a run of acclaimed releases and an increasingly ambitious live career. He has sold out a 20-date UK and European tour and performed at Glastonbury, The Jazz Cafe Festival, Love Supreme and We Out Here, where he recently delivered one of his first festival headline performances. His growing reputation as a live artist has also taken him to O2 Kentish Town Forum, while collaborations with Loyle Carner, D Double E, Tom Misch, Kojey Radical, Rubii, Benjamin Zephaniah and Tiana Major9 have highlighted the breadth of his musical world. He has also shared stages with artists including Tinie Tempah and the late Mac Miller. Kofi’s most recent project, 2025’s ‘All The Flowers Have Bloomed’, featured Jacob Banks, Maverick Sabre, Ady Suleiman and Tyler Daley of Children of Zeus and completed a trilogy that began with ‘Nobody Cares Till Everybody Does’ and continued with ‘A Man After God’s Own Heart’. Since then, he has continued to expand the world around his music, joining forces with D Double E for ‘Flowers Flow (Remix)’, collaborating with Kojey Radical and KeepVibesNear on ‘Love N Drugs’, and releasing the solo cut ‘Gardener Flow’. Earlier this month, he shared ‘No Way’, an assured and introspective track that offered a glimpse of what was to come.
With more than 150 million streams across his catalogue, including over eight million for ‘All The Flowers Have Bloomed’, Kofi has established himself as one of the UK’s most distinctive voices in hip-hop. His music has received support from tastemakers and broadcasters including Gilles Peterson, Huw Stephens, DJ Target, Semtex, Jamz Supernova, Craig Charles, Kaylee Golding, Remi Burgz, Nadia Jae and Sian Eleri, reflecting his ability to move between hip-hop, jazz and soul without losing his identity. Now, ‘The Last Flower To Bloom’ opens a new chapter. Across 16 tracks, Kofi builds on the world he has created while pushing his sound and storytelling even further. The project captures an artist reflecting on his past, embracing his present and moving confidently towards what comes next.
