Today, Italian-raised, London based recording artist KINGH, releases her debut EP “DARE TO DREAM” produced entirely by Shy FX, and released on Digital Soundboy. KINGH also reveals the self-directed visuals for “RIDE” featuring East London artist and rapper Kojey Radical. Watch the video HERE.

KINGH explains the inspiration for “RIDE”: “This is a special one. It’s one of the first tracks that Shy and I wrote together. As soon as I heard what Shy had built around the replay of “Easin’ In” by Edwin Starr, I could feel the atmosphere. It had that soulful energy that I grew up loving, but it also felt modern and very connected to the world we're creating. I wanted the vocals to feel conversational and honest, almost like you're hearing someone's thoughts in real time. The track lives in that space between confidence and vulnerability and Kojey brought another exciting layer to the record.”

“RIDE” follows previous singles DARE TO DREAM andLA PRIMA (B-Side), both taken from the rare-groove/street soul inspired EP. The body of work builds on KINGH and Shy FX’s  ongoing creative partnership, rooted in instinct and feeling, following KINGH’s collaborations on Shy FX’s recent singlesGideon’s Charge, Nobu and 100. Now, KINGH steps forward into her next chapter, a blend of soulful songwriting with sound-system energy.

  • I just put my neck chains on

Nasty but my face so sweet

Lately I been in one zone

    Searching for the higher me

    Searching for the higher me

But where you get your a-game from

Giving me the spice I need

    Spell exactly what you want

    R-I-D to the E

    You wanna shotgun with me

    I wanna ride with you

Talk to me baby what’s your comfort zone

I know it might fall thru

But if we make it will be beautiful

Damn this feeling but I might be a fool

Can’t keep thinking that I like you too

Tell me that you really want me too

Like me baby and I like you

Damn this feeling but I might be a fool

Can’t keep thinking that I like you too

Tell me that you really want me too

Like me baby and I like you too

    Kojey Radical verse

I got tea for your cinnamon

    D for your vitamins

    Sticky like a liquorice sweet

So won't you tell me what you’re looking for

    Hands in the cookie jar

But you can’t keep your hands off of me

It’s a long way down if you fall too far

You been warned don’t blame it on me

I'll be the first to give you everything

Lost with the wedding ring forever on this side of the dream

    I wanna ride with you

Talk to me baby what’s your comfort zone

I know it might fall thru

But if we make it will be beautiful

    What will be will be

    Exactly what you want

    Exactly what you want

  • Born in Leeds and raised between Lake Como and Milan, KINGH moved back to the UK aged  17 with a perspective shaped by both places. That sense of movement sits at the centre of how she creates. Not fixed, not confined, but constantly evolving. Music was always part of her environment. Influenced early by artists including Erykah Badu, Funkadelic, Lenny Kravitz, David Bowie and Ornella Vanoni, she began writing on piano aged 13, building her voice instinctively. By the time Shy FX came across her music, that foundation was already there. With a background in film, KINGH directs her own visuals, treating sound and image as different expressions of the same vision.
