UK rap heavyweight K-Trap joins forces with Nigerian superstar Oxlade for his new single, “Pressure,” produced by MVLN. A feel-good Afrobeats-infused Rap anthem, delivered with effortless finesse, “Pressure” came together organically. Oxlade provides the track’s infectious hook, complementing K-Trap’s verse and bringing a fresh dimension to his sound. Directed by Daps (Wizkid, Kendrick Lemar, Stormzy) and filmed in Lagos, the accompanying video captures both artists living it up against the city’s vibrant backdrop. From striking underwater sequences to scenes of beauty, love and celebration on the beach, the visual places K-Trap in a setting unlike anything we have seen from him before. Speaking about the collaboration, K-Trap says: “I smashed the verse and knew I needed a serious hook. Oxlade was one of the first people who came to mind. I’ve been a fan for a while, so I ended up reaching out to him—the old me probably wouldn’t have. It turned out he was a fan of my music too, and that’s what made the song come together so naturally.”

The single arrives as K-Trap continues to set the tone for Trapo II, with each release building anticipation for the project. Dropping on 21 August, the album explores the duality at the heart of his identity. Its artwork depicts K-Trap both with and without the balaclava that became synonymous with his rise, representing two defining chapters of his career: the myth and the man behind it.

Beyond music, K-Trap continues to expand his portfolio. His latest venture sees him join Reebok as an official European ambassador, having recently fronted a campaign for the brand. The partnership launched with Reebok taking over a pub, followed by K-Trap appearing on the streaming platform Off Licence Sessions. For the performance, he took over an off-licence for the evening to preview songs from the new album.
