More on JID:

Born and raised in East Atlanta, JID - a name adopted and adapted from what his grandmother called him as a jittery child - grew up on his parents’ collection of classic funk and soul LPs, ultimately fuelling his hunger for music creation before he crashed onto the scene with his debut EP DiCaprio in 2015. The eight-track project saw him collaborate with hip-hop duo EarthGang, who he’d tour with the following year. Spotted by J. Cole, JID was promptly signed to Dreamville/Interscope Records and would later make his major-label debut with The Never Story (2017), including powerful cuts like “NEVER” (watch) and “EdEddnEddy” (watch), before quickly following up with the critically acclaimed album DiCaprio 2 (2018). The sophomore project, featuring incendiary verses from J. Cole, A$AP Ferg, Joey Bada$$ and the potent COLORS performance for standout track “Working Out” (watch), marked a pivotal moment for the rising star before he was inducted into XXL’s Freshman Class Of 2018.

In 2019, JID continued his electrifying trajectory with significant contributions across Dreamville’s Platinum certified compilation Revenge of the Dreamers III, which debuted at #1 on the BILLBOARD Top 200 Charts and received multiple GRAMMY nominations including ‘Best Rap Album’ and ‘Best Rap Performance.’

With further collaborative efforts alongside Dua Lipa, Doja Cat, John Legend, James Blake, Denzel Curry, Smino, Khalid, Aminé, and Metro Boomin, JID has quietly become a generational talent in the making. Sold-out shows worldwide and performances across major festivals incl. Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Rolling Loud and more continue to mark the levels for one of the most talented and influential rappers alive today.
