Potter Payper, one of UK hip-hop’s most revered lyricists, returns with FWM. Cementing his GOAT credentials once again, he delivers a masterclass in pure rap craftsmanship. No chorus or hook, just an unbroken barrage of elite bars, sharpened to perfection. Every line lands with effortless authority, turning technical brilliance into second nature. The verses flow from an apparently bottomless well of talent, reminding everyone why Potter remains in a league of his own.

Few artists embody the reality of their music as completely as Potter Payper. Widely regarded as one of the most accomplished rappers ever to emerge from the United Kingdom, his story is not built on mythology or manufactured narratives, but on lived experience. From a childhood marked by deprivation, through years navigating the streets and periods of incarceration, to an eventual reckoning with who he was and who he could become, Potter's journey has shaped every line he has written. It is this authenticity that has earned him a unique place within UK rap and the unwavering respect of audiences across the country.

For more than fifteen years, Potter has documented that journey in remarkable detail. Through jail cells and recording studios, through betrayal and marriage, through mixtapes, EPs and career-defining releases, he has consistently demonstrated a level of honesty and lyrical craftsmanship few can match. His breakthrough came with the acclaimed Training Day mixtape series, culminating in Training Day 3, which reached No. 3 on the UK Albums Chart and won Mixtape of the Year at the 2021 Rated Awards. Tracks such as 2020 Vision Freestyle and Gangsteritus further cemented his reputation, with the former becoming one of his signature releases following his return from prison and the latter delivering his first UK Top 40 hit, amplified by its appearance in Top Boy. In 2023, Potter released his debut studio album, Real Back In Style, a landmark project that represented his first true commitment to creating a fully realised body of work. Featuring live instrumentation, choirs and rich vocal arrangements, the album showcased both artistic ambition and emotional depth. Songs including Multifaceted, Blame Brexit and White Ash quickly emerged as standout moments, praised as much for their vulnerability and honesty as for their technical brilliance. The album debuted at No. 2 on the UK Albums Chart and went on to win Album of the Year at the 2024 MOBO Awards. Described by The Guardian as "the UK's hottest hip-hop star", Potter appeared to have reached a new creative peak. Yet, in a twist that echoed much of his life story, the success of Real Back In Style coincided with another period of incarceration, adding another complex chapter to an already extraordinary narrative. Over the years he’s worked with the likes of Nines, Tiggs Da Author, D Double, Fredo, Aitch, M Huncho, Clavish, Skrapz, Rimzee, Digga, Ed Sheeran, Lil Baby, NSG to name just a few.
