Today - 27th February - Kent-born, London-based Taylr releases new single and video ‘lie to you’. Taking listeners on a musical journey, Taylr merges his virtuosic, drum-led production with his signature vocal to create a psychedelic sound that continues to enhance his growing discography. The video, shot by Dante Richardson (Destroy Lonely, Converse), follows a love story gone wrong, unfolded through a surreal narrative-led moment that aligns with Taylr’s creative integrity to push his artistry to the limit. The release follows his recent single ‘twenty four’, featuring Grammy-nominated Duckwrth, and his sold-out headline show, where he performed alongside Kojey Radical, Che Lingo and more to celebrate the launch of his NEIGHBOURS series. As he enters 2026 with growing momentum, Taylr continues to build a world that blends musicality, storytelling and an avant-garde visual world, setting the tone for his most ambitious chapter yet.

Born in Maidstone, Kent, and raised between skate culture, Wu-Tang records and 60s music in his family home, Taylr began making beats and freestyling long before he understood the industry he would later study with intention. Moving to London five years ago intensified that focus, placing him inside the cultural centre and sharpening a competitiveness that had always defined him, which he describes as “a battery in my back” and a constant push to evolve. While “all at once” introduced the new chapter, it was “twenty four,” featuring LA polymath Duckwrth, that pushed his world outward, surpassing half a million streams and beginning to shape the global audience he has always been working towards. Since the release of 2025’s Cayenne EP, he has moved with the kind of quiet precision that suggests long-term vision rather than momentary hype. Co-signs from Duckwrth, EARTHGANG, Blk Odyssy, Xzibit and Che Lingo have positioned Taylr as one to watch among tastemaker artists. Yet it is Kojey Radical’s endorsement that carries particular weight after publicly stating that he can see Taylr re-creating the same performance at the O2 in the future, reinforcing the sense of calculated momentum surrounding him. At 26, his ambitions are openly global, spanning BRIT Awards, Grammys and a dedicated international fanbase, yet his perspective remains grounded in modesty, London heritage through his families roots and the perspective of someone who arrived in the capital with something to prove. As 2026 unfolds, Taylr is set to deliver a consistent run of releases designed to build on his identity and accelerate his global reach, as bigger shows, strong streaming growth and an increasingly international fanbase confirm that his rise is already underway.

With ‘lie yo you’ marking the next step in his evolving vision, Taylr continues to shape a sound and identity that feel both intentional and globally resonant. As his audience expands and anticipation builds, he is poised to turn momentum into a defining breakthrough year.
