Cultural brand Stone Island explores collector culture with documentary “PASSPORTS”
PASSPORT
Stone Island is one of the few brands in the world to have cultivated a genuine subculture of devoted collectors — a global community united by a shared passion that runs far deeper than fashion. That culture is the subject of Passports, a documentary film directed by Glenn Kitson that travels the world to capture the stories, the people, and the meaning behind one of the most fascinating collector communities in existence. It is a film as rich and layered as the culture it documents.
“A documentary about Stone Island collectors, filmed using vintage digital cameras across seven cities in seven countries: London, Paris, Naples, New York, Toronto, Seoul and Tokyo.
Part travelogue, part interview series, Passport follows eight collectors as they discuss their passion for the brand within the distinct cultural context of each city - a cross-cultural conversation united by an appreciation of the brand’s unique design perspective.
From September 21st to November 6th, The Corner Shop at Selfridges, London” - Stone Island
